I have a guest house is RezEasy Front Desk suitable for me?

Yes! RezEasy Front Desk can be used by hotels, motels and guesthouses etc. It can handle a 6 room guesthouse or a 400 room hotel. RezEasy has many features and you can use the ones that are suitable for your business «FAQ list»

Do I have to pay commissions?

No! Once purchased RezEasy there is nothing else to pay. We do not charge any monthly or annual fee. «FAQ list»

Can RezEasy Front Desk be installed on a network?

Yes RezEasy can be installed on a network or a stand alone PC. For full details see the installation guide. «FAQ list»

Do I pay extra for user licenses?

The cost of RezEasy Front Desk includes 8 user licenses. Additional user licenses can be purchased if required. «FAQ list»

How do I charge for my rooms per night or per person?

That is up to you RezEasy can handle both types or room rates. «FAQ list»

Does RezEasy Front Desk work with touch screen technology?

Touch screen is a function of the monitor and software supplied with the monitor rather than an individual applications. Basically the touch screen software translates the various actions of touching the screen into commands that the PC can understand, in the same way that a click of the mouse is translated into a command. Therefore, the touch screen action of tapping a button should produce the same effect, within an application, as clicking the mouse over that button. Most software should function using touch screen technology.

We have a trial version of our software available for download. You could ask your hardware supplier to demo the touch screens together with a PC on which you have RezEasy Front Desk installed. This will allow you to see both the software and hardware in a practical setting. «FAQ list»

How are room rates posted to guest account?

Rates can either be posted using the night audit system or they can be posted when you check-in the guest. The way rates are posted is selected in RezEasy's configuration. «FAQ list»

Does RezEasy handle reduced rates for children?

Yes. (This is only applicable for per person room rates of course). «FAQ list»

Can have different rates for the same room?

Yes. You can have up to 6 different rates for each room type in each rate band or season. «FAQ list»

Can I have special rates?

Yes. You can enter any rate for any reservation or you can select a rate from those that you entered into the configuration. «FAQ list»

Does RezEasy allow for seasonal rates?

Yes. You can specify up to 52 different seasons in a year. Within each season you can have up to 6 differnt rates for each room type. (Special rates can also be entered for any reservation). «FAQ list»

Does RezEasy allow for daily rates?

Yes. You can specify up to 4 different rates in a week. Within each season you can have up to 6 differnt rates for each room type. (Special rates can also be entered for any reservation). «FAQ list»

Does RezEasy allow for seasonal rates with different rates at weekends?

Yes. You can specify up to 52 seasons in a year and also specify 2 different rates during a week for each season. Within each season you can have up to 6 differnt rates for each room type. (Special rates can also be entered for any reservation). «FAQ list»

Does RezEasy handle discounts for long term guests?

Yes. You can specify the minimum stay before the discount applies and the discount amount. Adding a discount is an optional feature. «FAQ list»

Can RezEasy handle a service charge?

Yes. You can add both a percentage and fixed amount. Adding surcharges is an optional feature. «FAQ list»

Can RezEasy handle tax?

Yes. Up to 3 different tax rates can be entered and you can specify which tax rate applies to which item, or items can have zero tax. Adding tax is an optional feature. «FAQ list»

I offer different rates for bed & breakfast and full board is this possible in RezEasy?

Yes. You can define up to 6 meal plans and up to 12 optional extras that can be included in the cost of any reservation. «FAQ list»

Does RezEasy have any reporting?

Can I control what individual users can do in RezEasy?

Yes each user can be assigned one or more user rights. When the user logs in only those features for which the user has rights will be available.

Can I access RezEasy Front Desk data in Excel?

Yes you can access the database (read only access) in Microsoft Excel or Word using the ODBC connection facility in Windows. See Access RezEasy Front Desk Data in Microsoft Office
